24

David and I got Netflix a month or so ago. It was David's idea, solely for the purpose of watching 24. Honestly, that's the only reason he wanted it. We've finally caught up on LOST, and we had to search the internet for extended periods of time to find season 5 episodes (since it wasn't on the ABC website) and it was extremely difficult to find all those episodes, and they were all poor quality. So, David decided that instead of trying to borrow DVDs to watch 24, or spend hours searching for it online, we would get Netflilx. I think we've watched only 2 actual DVDs since we got (and that was only because I begged). I will admit, however, it's rather convienent, and it's nice to have good quality picture and sound.

Now for my comments on the show...I'm still trying to decide if I like it, we're halfway through the second season now. It's so intense, there is always so much going on. I think what really gets me is that you can't trust anyone on the show, it's like everyone is a traitor or something, that bothers me. It's a really good show, I actually get like worked up and sad and hurt and feel real emotions when I watch the show. That's how you know it's a good one. But so much drama, so much betrayal. I guess I would like it more if I could actually trust somebody on the show or if there was one episode where someone isn't killed or something good happens and it doesn't get screwed over later. Anyone else watch 24? I'm interested to hear your thoughts on it.

Big Kahuna

I let David make dinner yesterday. He told me he was going to make chicken enchiladas, so I thought that it was a safe decision. Later, when he calls me into dinner, and he'd only made four. Why? Because he'd use massive 12" tortillas and that's all that would fit in the pan!! He dubbed them, "The Big Kahuna Enchiladas." Men. I took a picture...but unfortunately I forgot to put the memory card into the camera so the pictures are stuck in my camera and I have no idea how to get them out.

In other news, I started my new (well, old) job! In April I worked on campus in the housing department cleaning and doing service requests for on campus housing (mainly the dorms). David continued working there during the semester, and I managed to nab the job again, so we're working together!! :) It's pretty tedious work, not very much fun, but honestly it's a full time job. I've been dying for one of those for months! I'm not really used to working for 8 hours a day though...I've been sitting on my butt for the past few months and now that I have to be standing and do physical labor for 8 hours, my body is rejecting it. I'm utterly exhausted by the time I come home! And a little looy. I think it's kind of funny, I imagine that's how I would act if I were to ever get drunk.

Blogging Noob!!

So, I was trying to figure out how to follow other people's blogs, and I ended up following myself! And I still don't know how to follow other people's. I'm embarrassed at my noobness.

I've been studying for the Praxis a lot lately. I can't believe I take the tests on Saturday!! It's one of those things where you feel like it's soooo far away that you don't really think too much about it, but then all of the sudden it's here and you wish you would have thought about it more. I took a practice test for the Content Knowledge (which is where I have to recall EVERYTHING I've ever learned in school starting from Kindergarten through yesterday) and I didn't do too badly, but I want to do better. Perhaps I'm setting my standards too high, but I really want to do well on this test. "Passing" scores are different in every state, so even if I pass for Idaho, that score might not be good enough for another state. So I'm shooting pretty high. I'm really nervous for it, probably more so than is healthy. :\ Oh well, it'll be over Saturday afternoon. :)

I think I would blog more if I had more things to talk about. I mean, I don't have a hobby that would interest anyone else (like couponing or scrapbooking) that I could post about and give good tips on and people would come and benefit from my posts. Nor do I have any children that I could put pictures up of and brag about and talk to other moms about baby things. Nor am I even in school, which would also give at least SOME material. And I'm not single anymore, so I don't have fun adventures with roommates to post about. No, I'm just a hosewife who cooks my husband dinner and folds laundry. Not that I'm complaining in any way about my life, I love my life! It just doesn't yeild anything that I deem blog worthy. :D Maybe I can start posting pictures of my spotless kitchen sink or my stack of freshly folded laundry. Woot.

But, thank you to all who read this. :) I know it's not the most exciting blog but I like knowing that at least one or two people read it. :)

Couponing

So, I'm trying to start couponing. You know, using the Sunday paper to clip coupons and then stack them up and end up getting semi expensive things for only a few cents? It's a lot harder than I thought it would be!! It's an art, not just something you can pick up. I am discovering this. I've been signing up for different coupon websites and getting the Sunday paper and weekly ciculars, but I'm no where near the few cents thing. I'm having fun with it though, it gives me something to do since I don't have a job plus it helps save us money. So all in all, a win-win situation.

Anyone else coupon? Got any tips for me? :)

I Think it's Safe to Say That I Suck at Blogging

I do, however, have a lame excuse in attempts to cover up my horrible blogging skills. I was way too busy before to even thinking about blogging, and now I have nothing to do and therefore have nothing interesting to report in blog! It's true, my life is horribly boring with no job and no school.

Oh! There is one exciting thing, we're moving!! :) To University Village, it's BYU-Idaho owned so it's kept up pretty well, and untilities is included in the rent, which makes me so happy. It's very close to campus, a huge plus because when I student teach in the fall, David will be able to walk to school so I can have the car. (Oh yes, I got my student teaching placement! :) Central Elementary School in Sugar City, Idaho. First grade, YIKES!!!) It's really exciting to be moving. I'm not too thrilled to lose our washing machine, but moving away from our horrible neighbors upstairs is worth it I think. David's mom and sister will be here to help us move, which is greatly needed. With David in school, there's no way I can move our entire apartment by myself! Plus, it'll be great to see them, since I can't ever see my family, seeing his kinda makes up for it. :) But I'm excited to move nonetheless. :)

I apologize for my lack of interesting life events, would another boring survey make up for it?? This was way fun. I tried to choose songs whose titles fit the question the best, if everyone knew all the Fall Out Boy songs I did, the answers would be very different. :)

Try It...it's Tricky!Using only song titles from one artist, cleverly answer these questions.
Pick a band/artist: Fall Out Boy
1. Are you male or female: XO
2. Describe yourself: Short, Fast, and Loud
3. How you feel about yourself: Sugar, We're Going Down
4. Describe your ex boyfriend/girlfriend: It's Hard to Say "I Do" When I Don't
5. Describe your current boy/girl situation: 7 Minutes in Heaven
6. Describe your current location: Calm Before the Storm
7. Describe where you want to be: Moving Pictures
8. Your best friend is: Golden
9. Your favorite color is: Pretty in Punk
10. You know that: Hum Hallelujah
11. What’s the weather like: Hand of God
12. If your life was a television show what would it be called? Grand Theft Autumn
13. What is life to you: Bang the Doldrums
14. What is the best advice you have to give: Fame > Infamy
15. If you could change your name what would you change it to: Dance, Dance

...Oops...

Looks like being married has distracted me from blogging. :) What with getting married, a two week honeymoon, then jumping into the busiest semester of my life, it's no wonder I haven't had time to blog! But oh man, being married is amazing. :) So much better than I could have ever imagined it! I wonder why I didn't think of this earlier! ;)

This semester has been crazy. It's only a 14 credit semester, but I have a 6 credit class that seriously kicks my trash. I get to go intoan elementary school twice a week for an entire day and I LOVE that part...but then on Friday's we meet to have an actual class where a professor teaches us and whatever and THAT'S what kills me. Argh. Luckily I have two block classes that just ended, which means I get 6 more hours in my week! Hopefully that'll lighten my workload a lot.

So...since I lack a lot of interesting things to say...I'll do a husband survey! Enjoy! :)

1) What's his name?David

2)How long have you been married? A little over 2 months

3)How long did you date?Just over a year before we got married

4)How old is he? 23, almost 24

5)Who eats more? Hmm, it depends. I eat more meals throughout the day, but he eats fewer but eats enough for an army during those two meals. But...I still think he eats more despite me eating more often.

6)Who said, "I love you," first? He did. I wasn't even ready for those words yet and he just laid them on me. Haha, it's funny looking back on it!

7)Who is taller?David, he's 5'11 12''and I'm only 5'3''

8)Who sings better?Oh wow he does. He has an amazing voice!!! Mine is not so great.

9)Who is smarter? How could I possibly answer that question?? He's a lot smarter than me at some things, but I'm a lot smarter than him at other things. I think we even out pretty well, we complement each other pretty well. :)

10)Who's temper is worse?Hmm, I think this is a trick question! I think I get angry more easily than he does by I don't lose my temper as often. Hmm...I don't know the answer to that one.

11)Who does the laundry? We both do. He's done it a little more since he doesn't have school this semester and I have the busiest semester ever, but I still do it to give him a break.

12)Who does the dishes? He does most of the time. He's amazing. :) He cooks for me too!

13)Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? I do. We started out with me on the left and him on the right but with the set up of our apartment and me waking up at unholy hours of the morning it was better to have me on the right side. I don't mind at all. ;)

14)Who pays the bills? He does, he's the breadwinner! Plus we have a joint account, so no matter who takes the money out it's still all the same money.

15)Who mows the lawn? Lawn??? What lawn!?!?!

16)Who cooks dinner? He cooks it more often since he's home more often. But I love to cook so I cook too. I love it when he cooks for me though. :)

17)Who drives when you are together? Him, he's a much better driver than I am. Plus I hate driving.

18)Who is more stubborn? He is. If he gets set on something there is no stopping him or making him think otherwise.

19)Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? Wrong?? Psh, we're never wrong.

20)Whose parents do you see the most? Neither, they both live 2,000 miles away from us.

21)Who has more friends? I don't know, I never counted.

22)Who has more siblings? Equal, we both have 3 siblings each

23)Who wears the pants in the family? Pretty sure we both do.

Hope that was enjoyable for you! Anything to give me a break from my mountains of homework. :) To be continuted...later!

I've been married 66 days yai!!! :D
